Business and the World Summit on Sustainable Development:
Three good reasons to participate!
Your company has a strong commitment to sustainable development. Participation
at the most important international meeting on sustainable development will

The World Summit in 2002 will be the best platform to present specific
initiatives.
There are numerous opportunities for showcasing the commitments your company
and your sector have made to promote sustainable development. These include
submitting your initiative to the UN as a 'type 2 outcome', showcasing
your project on the BASD web site or as an audio-visual presentation in
the Virtual Exhibition,
or holding a parallel event organized by your company.
The World Summit offers the opportunity to form new alliances and make new
beginnings. Business Action for Sustainable Development is planning a number
of events in preparation for the Summit that will bring the business community
together with leaders from government and civil society organizations.
