International Herald Tribune features Johannesburg Summit

27 May 2002 - UN figures indicate that there are over one billion people in
the world without access to clean drinking water and that two billion of the
world’s inhabitants have no access to a reliable source of energy.
If the Johannesburg summit is to be in any way successful – if we are
to make progress in the search for a sustainable, secure future for all the
world’s inhabitants – we must all work together to find solutions
to these two most pressing problems.
