Aims/Objectives:

extend distributed power and communications to "off grid" world population of 2 billion

share the voice of the disconnected with the world through profitable "digital culture" enterprise

provide market outreach opportunities for corporations, governments and NGOs

create opportunities for business and cultural interactions using technology and multimedia entertainment

   

Measurable results and specific targets:

created first four village investments in less than three years

generated hundreds of multimedia products displaying the "digital culture" of Palestine, Jamaica, India and Ghana

attracted online community in excess of 15,000, including many influential in international business, economic development and social issues

   

Implementation mechanisms and further application:

Eight new investments in 2002 in Tibet, Brazil, Navajo lands and South Africa

Preparing remainder of 300 investments from qualified list of more than 500 candidates in 80 countries
