| Business for Africa was established to coordinate the business initiatives being developed to promote NEPADs objectives and to assist, identify, and share the challenges of implementing the NEPAD programme. The group aims to: | | Act as a medium between NEPAD and private companies who support its aims; | | Share information on trade and investment opportunities in Africa and encourage private sector involvement in sustainable development projects. |

| Specific targets include the development of a "Business and NEPAD Road Map", which will feed into, and take lessons from, the G8 Summit in Kananaskis and the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg. | | The organisation of a series of conferences to provide an international forum for seeking solutions to NEPAD's most pressing challenges.
