Measurable results and specific
targets: |
| Specific targets for the JCL include: | | To assess the footprint resulting from delegate's attendance at the Summit and identify carbon reducing projects in South Africa to offset this footprint; | | To raise $5,000,000 to fund carbon reducing projects; | | To deliver emissions reductions over a 5 year period, building capacity at the local level; | | To ensure that the Summit is certified a Carbon Neutral Event. | |
Implementation mechanisms
and further application: |
| The JCL project is being implemented through the following steps: | | A governing body was formed, an association constituted, a technical working group created, and a trust fund established; | | Potential carbon reducing projects are screened; | | Projects will be implemented, delivering emission reductions and ensuring that the Summit is certified a carbon neutral event. | |
