| 1997 published Industry, Freshwater and Sustainable Development in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The report presents case studies demonstrating that business has the technical and managerial skills, and the financial resources, to produce more goods and services using less water. | | 2000 published Partnerships in Practice. Six case studies exemplify how companies are entering into public-private partnerships with regulatory authorities to manage and conserve water - moving beyond rhetoric to action. | | The WBCSD and its member companies participate in the Stockholm Water Symposium each year. In 2001, the WBCSD organised a facilitated dialogue on industrial water management. | | Developed an annual Industry Water Prize in partnership with the Stockholm International Water Institute. The prize is awarded for outstanding achievements in managing and protecting the world's water resources. Past winners include Northumbria Water and General Motors de Mexico. | | Implemented an outreach program to industry and other water stakeholders through regional networks. Partnerships have been developed with BCSD Mexico and other local organisations in Mexico. Water dialogue sessions have been organised in partnership with Philippine Business for the Environment and BCSD Malaysia. | |
