| To establish a research programme that builds on existing initiatives and which contributes directly to an understanding of the role ICT can play in achieving a more sustainable world. | | To create agreed sustainability corporate reporting standards for the ICT sector and make a contribution to the Global Reporting Initiative. | | To expand coverage GeSI membership across the world. | | To allow members of GeSI to share learning experiences with each other for mutual and societal benefit. |

| GeSI membership will be expanded to ensure a global reach. A regional outreach meeting for the Asia Pacific region is scheduled for May 2002. |
